At ModernHomeDesignStudio, every custom floor plan, drafting project, and 3D rendering requires dedicated design time and is created specifically around the client’s requirements. This Return & Refund Policy explains how cancellations, revisions, and refund requests are handled.
1. Custom Digital Services
Our services include customized digital work such as:
- Custom floor plans
- 2D drafting and layouts
- 3D exterior and interior renderings
- Plot and site planning
- CAD-ready files
- Design consultations
- Other customized residential design services
Because these services are personalized and digital in nature, they cannot be physically returned once work has started or files have been delivered.
2. Cancellation Before Work Begins
If you wish to cancel an order before design or drafting work has started, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where no work has begun, we may approve a cancellation and refund, subject to any non-refundable payment processing or administrative charges.
Cancellation requests are not guaranteed once work has commenced.
3. Refunds After Work Has Started
Once our team has begun researching, planning, drafting, designing, rendering, or otherwise working on your project, payments are generally non-refundable.
This is because significant professional time and resources are committed to each customized project from the beginning.
4. Delivered Digital Files
Once a final or substantial project deliverable has been provided, including floor plans, drawings, CAD files, images, or 3D renders, the service is considered digitally delivered.
Refunds are generally not available after delivery of customized digital work, except where required by applicable law.
5. Unlimited Revisions
Our packages may include unlimited revisions as stated on the applicable pricing or service page.
If you are not satisfied with a draft, we encourage you to provide clear revision feedback. We will continue making reasonable revisions within the original project scope until the design is approved.
Unlimited revisions apply to adjustments to the originally agreed design and do not include:
- Completely new project concepts
- A different property or plot
- Major changes to the original requirements
- Significant additions outside the purchased package
- Repeated redesigns based on newly introduced requirements
Additional fees may apply where a revision substantially changes the original project scope.
6. Satisfaction Guarantee
Our 100% satisfaction guarantee reflects our commitment to working with clients through the included revision process to achieve an acceptable final design.
It does not mean that every completed or partially completed custom project automatically qualifies for a monetary refund.
We encourage clients to communicate concerns during the design and revision process so we have an opportunity to resolve them.
7. Incorrect or Defective Deliverables
If you receive:
- The wrong project files
- Corrupted or inaccessible files
- Files materially different from the approved project
- Missing deliverables included in your purchased package
please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to correct, replace, or resend the affected files at no additional charge.
8. Delays
Estimated delivery times are provided in good faith.
A delay caused by client response time, missing project information, revision requests, third-party services, technical issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control does not automatically qualify an order for a refund.
If we are unable to provide the purchased service for reasons within our control, we may offer an appropriate resolution, which may include a refund for the portion of service that could not be completed.
9. Change of Mind
Refunds will generally not be provided simply because a client:
- Changes their mind after work begins
- Decides not to build the property
- Changes contractors or builders
- Changes the plot or project requirements
- No longer requires the completed design
- Obtains another design from a different provider
10. Permit or Construction Approval
A refund will not be issued solely because a plan requires modifications for local building codes, zoning rules, HOA requirements, engineering requirements, permit approval, or other jurisdiction-specific requirements.
Clients are responsible for obtaining any locally required professional review, certification, engineering, or regulatory approval.
11. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved, it will generally be issued to the original payment method.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, bank, or financial institution.
Any payment processing fees that are non-refundable to us may, where permitted, be deducted from the refund amount.
12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you have a concern regarding a payment or service, please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve the issue.
Fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks may be disputed using relevant project records, communications, payment information, and proof of service or digital delivery.
